Flip-flops and other foam-soled sandals provide poor arch support which leads to pain in the feet, ankles and knees. When you know you’ll be walking a lot, wear shoes with arch support, so opt for sneakers instead.

Don’t we just love the new phones coming out in the market? Phones that lets us text, surf the web or play games. It sure is awesome to have everything in one phone, but it’s also a lot of mileage for our thumbs. Doctors began seeing arthritis at the base of the thumb in people as young as thirty. So when your thumb begins to ache, give it a rest and limit your use of your phone to making actual calls instead of texting.

Men like to put their wallets on their back pocket. Tucked in a back pocket, it may rest directly over the sciatic nerve, compressing and irritating it day after day. Your wallet can be a real pain in the back and the buttocks, and it can even lead to shooting pains down one leg. The steering wheel should be within easy reach, so your arms are slightly flexed and relaxed. If the seat is reclined, you may slouch forward to grip the steering wheel. This pulls your head away from the headrest and can cause neck pain.

Handheld laptop cases put stress on the forearm and can actually give you tennis elbow. Try rolling a laptop case or consider switching to a lighter model.

Migraine sufferers are more sensitive to sensations such as a tight hat, headband, bun, or braids. To prevent this, just wear your hair down and skip the hat.
